The Art Center in Dover, NH will be showing 3 of Eric J Taubert’s European Street Photography pieces in their “Faces” exhibition in September/October 2021.

“Post-pandemic, I’ve been exploring some new approaches to my photography,” states Taubert, “including a deeper examination of the textures of place. Drilling down, in a somewhat abstract way, on the surfaces and elements of specific destinations which are most likely to trigger a sense of place-memory in the minds of those who know them – and place-introduction in the minds of those who haven’t yet been to these locations.”
“But I’ll always have a love for old school street photography,” continues Taubert, “and that’s what I’m showing in the “Faces” exhibition at The Art Center in Dover. I especially enjoy challenging my street photography skills in European cities. I shoot from real life, so these are photos of people being their authentic selves in public settings, unaware that they’re being photographed. What can we see on their faces. How are they relating to the places, people, times, and circumstances with which they’re surrounded?”
